We at ARMSA extend very enthusiastic congratulations to Safety Innovation Committee Member Tim Page-Bottorff for the recent American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) Technical and Professional Recognition Committee Announcement that he has been named ASSE's Safety Professional of the Year (SPY). Tim will be officially receiving this award at ASSE's Safety 2018 Conference this June in San Antonio, TX.
The Society's SPY honor is awarded only once a year to a selected ASSE Member who has proved to have made significant contributions and has accomplished remarkable successes in making a difference in the Society's Mission of protecting people, property, and the environment. This includes the individual's time and effort exerted over and above his or her normal work duties and responsibilities, i.e. sacrificing his or her personal, professional, and family time voluntarily with full dedication, commitment, and hard work.
ASSE was founded in 1911 and is the oldest professional safety society with more than 36,000 members worldwide. ASSE promotes the expertise, leadership, and commitment of its members, while providing them with professional development, advocacy, and standards development. It also sets the occupational safety, health, and environmental community's standards for excellence and ethics.
We are so very proud of Tim's accomplishments and honored to have him as a member of our Safety Innovation Committee to help develop and improve safety for the community.
